In my early days in Spiritualism, when I was speaking from the platform, or in open-circle, I would often be inspired by a thought which was the antithesis of one of spiritualisms accepted tenets. In those days I felt that I was being “trained” to always study the obverse side of the coin. It is a practice which has served me well in the presentation of philosophy.
